Professor @ HES-SO Valais
Andrei is the co-head of the Reliable Information Lab and the Gen Learning Center @ HES-SO, where he leads research on trustworthy AI. He is the Safety and Security lead for the Apertus LLM consortium, and an organizer of several conferences on AI, safety, defense, and cybersecurity.Since 2023, Andrei has been arguing that coding LLMs need Scala to continue improving.
Code generation is one of the most promising applications of large language models (LLMs), offering substantial productivity boosts for developers. However, this benefit is tempered by serious concerns surrounding the correctness and security of the generated code - especially outside the happy path.
